چکیده
Introduction: Some strains of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae produce Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamases (ESBL) may be responsible for various infections such as urinary infections. These Sick people are treated in the very serious cases by association antibiotics to class betalactamins, aminosids quinolons. But proliferation multi-drug resistant involves decreasing therapeutic success. That’s why epidemiological study must done all laboratories bacteriology. Purpose: The aim was research resistance phenotypes our E. K. ESBL compared others families antibiotics. Material methods: Thirty two (32) betalactamases isolated from either hospitalized patients or sick who came consultation were studied. Susceptibility antimicrobial agents determined using an antibiotic disk (Bio-Rad) diffusion method on Mueller-Hinton agar (Bio-Rad). results interpreted according Standards French Antibiogram Committee (CA-SFM). Results: showed that most these resistant. They many beta-lactamines also at 70,34% aminosids, 96,72% quinolons, 58,3% cotrimoxazol, 26,1% chloramphénicol 21,4% colistin ; about pneumoniae, they 72,6% 88,95% 86,7% 44,4% 25% colistin. sensitive 100% l’imipenem.

The Prevalence of TEM and SHV Genes among Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamases Producing Escherichia Coli and Klebsiella Pneumoniae
Objective(s) Production of extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) by enteric bacteria continues to be a major problem in hospitals and community. ESBLs producing bacteria cause many serious infections including urinary tract infections, peritonitis, cholangitis and intra-abdominal abscess. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of ESBLs producing Escherichia coli and Klebsiel...
متن کاملPrevalence and antimicrobial resistance of extended-spectrum beta-lactamases-producing Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae strains isolated in a university hospital in Split, Croatia.
The prevalence of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae that produce extended-spectrum b-lactamases (ESBL) was investigated in patients of a university hospital in Split, Croatia. Patients were grouped according to age (pediatric vs. adult), antibiotic type, and hospital ward. From Jan. 2001 to Dec. 2002, the susceptibility of E. coli and K. pneumoniae isolates to antimicrobials was tested...
متن کاملExtended spectrum beta-lactamases in Escherichia coli & Klebsiella pneumoniae & associated risk factors.
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE Extended spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) have emerged as a major threat worldwide with limited treatment options. The genotypes of ESBL producing strains largely remain unknown in India; hence the present study was aimed to determine the occurrence of ESBLs in Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, their molecular types and associated risk factors in a tertiary care...

متن کاملAntibiotic Resistance Pattern and the Prevalence of Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamases (ESBLs) in Urinary Isolates of Klebsiella Pneumoniae
Abstract Background and Objective: Klebsiella pneumoniae is an opportunistic nosocomial pathogen causing a variety of infections including urinary tract infections, pneumonia, septicemia, wound infections and infections in the intensive care units. Since the ESBL producing Klebsiella pneumoniae strains are increasingly causing urinary tract infections, we aim to assess antibiotic resistance pat...
